School is cancelled for October 8th and 9th in addition to our Fall Break October 12th - 16th. Stay safe !

All Walton County School District campuses will be closed Thursday, October 8, and Friday, October 9, due to anticipated impacts from Isaias. This closure applies to all extracurricular activities such as athletic games, practices, and club meetings.

The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our highest priority. These closures will allow families time to prepare and follow guidance from Walton County Emergency Management.

Future updates and announcements will be available on District social media channels as well as our website.

Partner Reading Fridays at The Nature School!

Fridays are for Partner Reading! Our upstairs students pair up with our downstairs students, and they take turns reading aloud to one another.

It’s a wonderful way for our students to practice reading, listening, confidence, patience, and leadership—all while learning from and encouraging each other.

There’s something pretty special about seeing children find a quiet spot outside, open a book, and share the joy of reading together!

What a fabulous first day of school! We had such a wonderful day filled with eager learners, smiling faces, and lots of excitement as we began a new school year together.
