11/19/25 – Still Life Drawing:
Students will learn still life drawing from real objects. They will learn how to capture shapes, and some drawing techniques such as measuring, shadowing, and hatching, with the goal of accurately drawing multiple objects.

Available as a single Workshop – $53.00 or as a 6-Week Course – $275.

Each workshop will include at least 30 minutes of demonstration and at most 90 minutes of individual work with guidance from our instructor!

10/1/25 & 11/12/25 (*The first class of the course*) – Introduction and drawing a sphere:
In this class, students will delve into fundamental drawing tools like pencils and paper, and master their usage. They will then draw a sphere, gaining insights into distinguishing between cast shadows and form shadows, with the goal of effectively depicting three-dimensional objects.

10/8/25 & 11/19/25 – Still Life drawing:
Students will learn still life drawing from real objects. They will learn how to capture shapes, and some drawing techniques such as measuring, shadowing, and hatching, with the goal of accurately drawing multiple objects.

10/15/25 & 11/26/25 – Gesture drawing:
Students will learn how to draw the human body with gestures. By understanding the structure and flow of the human body, their aim is to be able to draw humans within a short time or from imagination. They will start with stick figures and eventually progress to depicting muscles.

10/22/25 & 12/03/25 – Portrait drawing:
Students will learn portrait drawing. By understanding facial proportion and the structure with different angles. In this class, their goal is to accurately depict human faces.

10/29/25 & 12/10/25 – Drawing a whole body:
Students will learn how to draw a human figure from a master’s drawing. Unlike gesture drawing, they will carefully observe the reference and create detailed drawing. They will learn how to accurately capture shapes and represent values.
11/05/25 & 12/17/25 – Personal project:
Utilizing what they’ve learned in previous classes, students will create individual art pieces based on photos they provide. They will receive advice from the instructor on the techniques necessary to express what they want to draw.

We are having Anime Camp August 4th – August 8th! Join us for an action-packed week of manga fun! We will demonstrate how to work on specific design elements of illustrative, cartoon, and anime style figures and portraiture traits.

🎨 Weekly Anime Drawing Themes

Monday: “Chibi Me!” – Draw Yourself in Chibi Style
Focus: Self-portrait in anime’s “chibi” (super-deformed) style

Skills: Proportions, expressions, basic character design

Activity: Draw yourself as a chibi anime character with your favorite outfit and a speech bubble

Tuesday: “Animal Sidekicks” – Create a Cute Creature Companion
Focus: Designing animal-themed mascots (like Pokémon, Luna from Sailor Moon)

Skills: Simplifying animal forms, combining real and fantasy elements

Activity: Draw a magical animal friend and give it a name, power, and personality

Wednesday: “Hero Mode!” – Design a Young Anime Hero
Focus: Create a child superhero or magical girl/boy

Skills: Costume design, action poses, storytelling through design

Activity: Draw an anime-style hero with a special power, costume, and a signature pose

Thursday: “Kawaii Food Friends” – Animate Your Favorite Snack
Focus: Anthropomorphism (giving human traits to objects)

Skills: Expression drawing, exaggeration, shape play

Activity: Turn your favorite food (e.g. sushi, cupcake, melonpan) into a cute anime-style character

Friday: “Mini Manga Panel” – Create a 3-Panel Comic
Focus: Simple manga storytelling

Skills: Sequencing, expressions, basic comic panel layout

Activity: Use a character from earlier in the week to create a 3-panel mini story (e.g., their first day at anime school)

Camp is 9am-2:30pm. We will have a Morning Session 9-10:30am, Lunch Hour Session 11:00am-12:30pm, and an Afternoon Session 1pm-2:30pm.

Please pack lunch/snack/water accordingly for full day camp!
