I'm not at all surprised by the lack of accounting done by the non profits. It's all about them, and what's left over can be given to the homeless.

These organizations pretend to care about the people in need, and not everyone is in these facilities for being homeless, some come because they got seriously ill and couldn't keep their home, some are victims of domestic abuse, and everyone has a different story.

These organizations take the donations for themselves and the homeless never see them.

I know the problems start at the top of these organizations, and they should be held accountable for having no idea where 40%-45% of the funds have gone.

The city needs to put it together. We used to have long standing neighborhoods, but with the price of housing here now, people come, people go. And there's little interest in the city.

There used to be the hassle and tussle around Santa Monica. Now, a 5pm there is traffic, by 6pm, it's dead.

Santa Monica is no longer the great community it once was, and this article reflects that sentiment.

Worse, they want to demolish Gelsons to put in stores and 588 apts. They can even rent what they have.
