Dear Preschool Families,

It's only been 2 days since the Preschool closed, but it seems like ages. The halls of the school are eerily silent, and we greatly miss the energy and warmth of our school community. We're not complete without our amazing teachers and wonderful children.

As I think most of you are aware, the teachers have been helpful in sending materials and activities for your children. Hopefully, you have found these schedules and materials to be useful. It must be challenging to keep your kids busy all day every day. Following a daily schedule and finding time to take the children for a walk or allow for some time outside is of paramount importance.

Reading stories is critical. Not only does it occupy time, but it encourages a lifelong love of reading. A child that is read to often will automatically develop a desire to read on their own when old enough. You cannot read too much!

In this time of uncertainty for all, we want you to know that we are continuing to take care of our teachers. We know they are reaching out to you and your families. Your continued financial support of the preschool is now more invaluable than ever. Payments can be received via mail, or online. Through the end of the school year we have waived the regular processing fee from our payment system for tuition payments due this school year.
We are also continuing to support donations of our annual campaign which will help with families in need and continuing education for our staff.

Community Meal is a committed partnership between FUMC and Family Place -- our local transitional housing program for families with young children. We have worked diligently over the last few years to foster relationships with the staff and residents and to provide a monthly night of fun and food.
