👕 What to Wear: Casual and comfortable! If you plan to skate, we
recommend wearing long pants, socks, and a light jacket or
sweatshirt—the rink can be chilly. Feel free to show off your Kent
State gear!

Flashes Give Back 2026 is in the books! We documented graves at Forest Lawn Cemetery for Billion Graves. Forest Lawn is next to Warner Brothers Studios and is where Matthew Perry, Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, Lucille Ball, Bette Davis and more stars are buried!

Thanks to all the SoCal Kent State University Alumni and friends who came out to see one of our own, Mathew Blasio, in the tour of Beetlejuice at the Pantages! Alum Priscilla Tasker DeCapua had the fabulous idea to bring a Kent State flag and at the curtain call, we ran down with it and it appeared that Mathew saw it and acknowledged it! We got a great thrill from that! Hope to meet him in person next time he's in town with another production!

KSU Alumnus Mathew Blasio is in the cast of the tour of Beetlejuice at the Hollywood Pantages playing now until the 22nd at the Pantages in Hollywood. Hope you can join us for the show on Sunday, March 22nd to welcome Mathew to LA and support him. After the show, we'll have a meet and greet with Mathew. Please PM us with your interest and we can share the specific details.

Attention SoCal KSU Alumni of a certain age: one of our own, alumnus Stacy Lumbrezer, is producing a show about women dealing with menopause. The show is at 7 p.m. and afterwards, there will be a vulnerable and open talk including audience members. Society does not prepare us for all the changes we go through, right?! Enjoy the humor of it all at 7 p.m and stay for the talk afterwards. The goal is to make women going through menopause feel less alone and stigmatized.

Volunteer tasks: We will access the Zooniverse site individually on our computers and classify squirrels. This will be through Google Meets.

The City of Burbank where I live is one of the cities that does a self-built float for the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day. Because it is self-built, they have a design contest that is open to anyone. I hope you'll consider entering!

The 2027 theme is about "being seen, valued, and heard, just for being you. Let’s celebrate a world where everyone matters, everyone has a place where they belong, and everyone is cherished."
