MUSE Global School - Santa Monica is an award winning, sustainable, private school offering an innovative education for Elementary- High School students.
MUSE Global School is inspired by the award winning MUSE School and an in-person extension of MUSE Virtual. It is an internationally recognized, award-winning school, a high-performance learning lab that focuses on eco-literacy and serves as a beacon of sustainable living and design founded in 2006 by Suzy Amis Cameron. Our in-person school encompasses Elementary through High School students that
will experience MUSE Global School’s Five Pillar Approach to learning - Academics, Passion-Based Learning, Communication, Self-Efficacy and Sustainability. We teach the whole child - focusing on more than academics. Each grade level is designed for your student to thrive! OUR SCHOOL: MUSE Global School is a seedbed for innovative practices and programs. We give students a voice and a choice in their educations. The rich, hands-on environment at MUSE Global Schools is devoted to ensuring that students develop as whole people, lifelong learners, and engaged citizens who are healthy in mind, body and play. Parents, too, play a daily role in their child’s education process and in the school’s operations. OUR STUDENTS: Teachers and mentors reflect with students to craft individual learning plans – custom curricula focused on their own interests and needs. We believe that by thoughtfully nurturing innate passion, discovery, purpose, adventure, spontaneity and creativity we can foster deep individual development. Throughout their tenure at MUSE Global School, we offer students multiple ways to demonstrate what they know and what they can do – self-directed exhibitions, group projects, and more. By the time they graduate, our students are well prepared to achieve success in whatever schools, vocations, and avocations they choose. OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY: We are always seeking opportunities to give back to the community we serve. We form strong, lasting partnerships with green industries, government agencies, community groups, and postsecondary sectors, creating vital relationships that will advance our students’ learning, compassion, and development. OUR WORLDWIDE COMMUNITY: Throughout the Global, we’re creating a transformative education network of MUSE Global Schools. Our students are connected by a shared philosophy and mission. We create opportunities and support our students’ efforts to teach each other, even though they may not speak the same first language. THE PRINCIPLES THAT INSPIRE US:
LEARNING: With courage and respect, we pursue learning fearlessly, knowing that, children are naturally “switched-on.” You see it in their eyes whenever they talk about or do the things they love. We strive to cultivate and sustain that in-the-moment exuberance, knowing that learning is most effective when it happens “in the flow.”
INTERCONNECTIONS: Nurturing relationships between self, one another, place, and planet is critical to the MUSE mission. We encourage global stewardship by balancing human and ecological needs; and we collaborate across ages, communities, and cultures. SUSTAINABILITY: MUSE Global School is a high-performance learning lab that demonstrates eco-literacy and serves as a beacon of sustainable living and design. We are committed to restoring and celebrating nature and to serving as a champion of everything green. EVER-EVOLVING: The MUSE Global School community is comprised of creative and critical thinkers who realize that flexibility and adaptability serve as critical keys to our success. We enthusiastically embrace change and consistently challenge ourselves in our ongoing efforts to learn, grow, and improve.

This week, we celebrate more than commencement— we celebrate growth, curiosity, courage, and the unique journey of every student who grew within MUSE.
At MUSE Global School, commencement is a reflection of what’s possible when learning is rooted in creativity, compassion, purpose, and connection to the world around us.
To our students:
Keep asking questions.
Keep leading with kindness.
Keep creating the future you wish to see.
The world needs your voice, your ideas, and your heart. We cannot wait to see where your journey takes you next. 🌎✨

Josie’s culmination celebrated her love for Farmers Markets and the powerful connection between local food, community, and the environment. Through her research and experiences, she explored the many benefits of choosing farmers markets over traditional grocery stores — from supporting local farmers and enjoying fresher seasonal produce to reducing environmental impact and building stronger community connections.
She shared how farmers markets are not only a place to shop, but also a fun and inspiring experience filled with creativity, conversation, and discovery.
One of the highlights of her project featured her favorite vendor, LE Honey, where she learned about the essential role bees play in pollinating the fruits and vegetables we rely on every day. Her presentation beautifully connected the importance of bees, biodiversity, and sustainable food systems.
At MUSE, students are encouraged to follow their passions, ask meaningful questions, and create learning experiences that connect directly to the world around them.

Teddy’s presentation on Life in Ethiopia was a thoughtful exploration of culture, sustainability, economy, and tradition. Through her research, she examined how climate change is impacting Ethiopia’s coffee industry, while also learning about the country’s three major economic streams: livestock, coffee, and khat.
She explored the unique architecture and cultural significance of the traditional Sheka House and brought his learning to life in the kitchen by creating Gomen Wat alongside Chef Robin — connecting food, culture, and hands-on learning in a meaningful way.
At MUSE, culminations empower students to dive deeply into global topics, build cultural understanding, and share their learning through creativity and experience.

At MUSE Global School, learning comes alive through curiosity, exploration, and meaningful connection.
For his culmination project, Dresden dove deep into the culture and history of Detroit — exploring the city through firsthand experiences and independent research. From visiting the City of Detroit to creating his own digital tour, Dresden uncovered the stories, people, and industries that helped shape one of America’s most influential cities.
His project explored Detroit’s rich artistic legacy, legendary athletes, pivotal historical moments, the meaning behind the city flag, and the industries that built the Motor City into a global icon.
Through this culmination, Dresden demonstrated how learning can extend far beyond the classroom — blending history, culture, creativity, and real-world exploration into a project uniquely his own.
We are proud of the curiosity, depth of research, and thoughtful storytelling he brought to this experience. 🌎✨

🌎 This Earth Day, learning goes beyond the classroom.
At MUSE Global School, we celebrate by connecting with communities around the world—because real impact happens when education meets action.
From California to Connecticut, Florida to Hawaii, and beyond, families are coming together to honor our planet through local events, conservation efforts, and hands-on experiences:
✨ Community cleanups & tree planting
✨ Eco-fairs, green expos & sustainability workshops
✨ Wildlife education & nature-based learning
✨ Recycling drives & conscious living initiatives
Whether it’s exploring eco-events in your neighborhood or participating in global efforts like Costa Rica’s beach cleanups and reforestation projects, every action matters.
Even one small choice—like eating one plant-based meal a day—can help conserve water, protect forests, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and support endangered species.
🌱 The future is shaped by what we do today.
Find an event near you, get involved, and be part of the change.
