The "Terrific Tennis Trainer" is a simple yet very effective training tool that is guaranteed to hel So I decided to make my own.
Last year I began a search on the internet for a tennis training device that would help me practice my groundstroke techniques and give me some off-court fitness training, that I actually enjoyed. I bought a few but none of them gave me the features and benefits that I was looking for. After spending much more money than I could afford and many trials and errors, I finally refined a product that I
was happy with. I now had an affordable training tool that has helped me improve my groundstrokes and give me a great workout at the same time, Not only has it enhanced my participation and enjoyment of the sport, that I have such a passion for, but I feel that it is helping me improve my timing, my racket eye coordination, my stamina, and strength. It is compact, lightweight and can be easily set up and used in a small space, almost anywhere. My biggest challenge was to get the ball to spin freely, so that I could work on developing greater topspin forehands, and backspin slices, as well as powerful, straight flat shots and the occasional volley. I was also determined to make it a quality product, which is durable enough to withstand the strongest shots. The harder the ball is hit the faster it returns, much like real tennis. The "Tennis Trainer" spinning ball is easily attached to a pole or a tree, with a diameter from 2 inches to 6 feet It is attached with a strong elastic cord which has three built in adjustments, so that it can be easily set to return the ball at various heights and speeds. I use a low compression ball because regular balls split open and ever broke the nylon shoulder washers that allows the ball to spin. Also regular balls came back so fast that when I returned them hard, I would frequently break strings. I was very relieved when it worked so well and eliminated all those problems. Virtually all my peers who tried it liked it and encouraged me to try to market it. So here I am, testing the waters to see what is possible. I am calling it the "Tennis Trainer" on Facebook, so that it might be discovered by someone doing a search for such a thing, as I originally did. The basic "Tennis Trainer"costs me $10 to make. I am selling it at a sliding scale at cost plus whatever you consider to be a fair markup. This includes a free thirty day, purchase price money back guarantee. I also have an Elite version which attaches to the pole with Velcro straps. It costs me $20 and up depending on the number of straps ordered. If you would like to try one please email me David Lehman, at [email protected] . Due to my disability I have a limited inventory, but I will ship them ASAP. Anyone interested in getting involved in this enterprise I invite your participation. Thank you for your interest and support.
Dial Jones is a former ATP touring pro and is currently a highly regarded Teaching Professional in Santa Monica. This was his very first attempt at using the Tennis Trainer and he loved it right away.
This is a short video of my latest project. I searched the web to purchase something simple and affordable to help me practice my tennis strokes, and when I was unable to find anything that satisfied me I decided to make one. It works so well that I have decided to try marketing it.
At the moment I don't have sufficient funds to patent it, so I'm just going to try to sell it one piece at a time. I have created a page, entitled "Tennis Trainer. If you would like to help me market it, please check it out and click on the "like"box and this will help get more exposure. Hopefully, more and better videos will soon be posted. God willing.
