At Little Dolphins Preschool, we believe that, through immersive cultural experiences, we are helping our students grow as true global citizens.
This time of the year is one of our favorites, as the vibrant traditions of Holi take us into the magical world of India. Yesterday was Little Dolphin’s Festival of Colors, where our students enjoyed playing with water and all the colors!
As nature awakens around our beautiful city, with fresh blooms and new beginnings, what better way to celebrate spring’s arrival than through the ancient Holi festival of renewal and connection.

Today in theater we transformed into butterflies, moving gracefully as we searched for flower pollen to eat (pretend of course!). We explored the herb garden, taking in the wonderful scents of mint, rosemary, marjoram, and sage.
Then we shook a parachute filled with colorful scarves, imagining they were seeds we were sending out to make the world more beautiful and colorful.
We had so much fun! 🩵✨🩵

Our little dolphins are buzzing with excitement as they get ready for next week’s African Play!
Their little hands have been busy painting their masks and African dress. They are also busy practicing Malaika, Anansi and all the classic songs of this festival.
So much love and creativity flowing through our classroom this week.
Let’s welcome the weekend with joy!
See you all next week Little Dolphins!
