Every journey begins with a first step. ๐๐
Last week, our Transitional Kindergarten students crossed their first bridge as Mariners, celebrating a year of growth, discovery and new friendships.
Surrounded by proud families, dedicated teachers and a community cheering them on, our youngest Mariners took an important step forward in their Saint Monica Preparatory journey.
As we celebrate this season of milestones, TK Bridging reminds us that every Mariner story begins somewhere. From TK Bridging to Mariner March to Commencement, each moment reflects the same promise: a community that walks alongside our students every step of the way.

๐And just like that, the Class of 2026 has crossed the stage.
From sunflowers and speeches to lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories, Friday night marked the culmination of years of hard work, growth and Mariner pride.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. Once a Mariner, always a Mariner. ๐๐

As Commencement approaches, the Class of 2026 took time to pause, reflect and give thanks during Senior Day of Prayer and Baccalaureate Mass. โ๏ธ
We were honored to welcome back alumni Bridgette Rodgers โ22 and Jakson Buhaj โ22, who shared their experiences and encouragement with our seniors as they prepare for the next chapter of their journeys.
The weekend concluded with Baccalaureate Mass, where the Class of 2026 gathered one final time as a class to celebrate the Eucharist and receive a blessing from Monsignor Torgerson before graduation.
Please keep the Class of 2026 in your prayers as they prepare to embark on their next adventure. ๐๐

One of the most special parts of being a Mariner is that our community grows together.
From Lower School to Upper School, students learn from one another, look up to one another and inspire one another. As we close another school year, moments like these remind us that being part of Saint Monica Preparatory means being part of something bigger than yourself.
Hereโs to the friendships, mentorship and memories that connect every generation of Mariners. ๐๐

Today, we celebrate seniors like Dino Hidalgo, whose perseverance, leadership and commitment to serving others have left a lasting impact on our community. ๐๐
This fall, Dino will attend the University of Portland as the first Saint Monica Preparatory student to participate in the Universityโs new pathway partnership with SMPREP, earning guaranteed admission and a four-year scholarship.

8th Grade Retreat ๐๐
Before Mariner March next week, our 8th graders spent a day at Serra Retreat reflecting on faith, friendship and the journey ahead. Guided by our senior Campus Ministers and joined by Monsignor Torgerson for Mass, students took time to pause, connect and prepare for their next chapter as Upper School Mariners. ๐โจ
