So excited to announce our Fall 2026 Synapse Guest Choreographer, David Lee!! David Lee

As a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and director, David Lee is passionate about enriching lives through quality dance education, inspiring artists through creative exploration, and spreading joy through movement.

For 10 years, David served as the Artistic Director of Culture Shock LA, a nonprofit organization that uses Hip-Hop music and dance to empower underserved youth throughout Los Angeles. He is also a resident instructor at Movement Lifestyle and OFFSTAGE by GRV.

A graduate of UC Irvine with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, David’s career has expanded from performing and teaching around the world to artist development, drawing from his extensive experience both on stage and behind the scenes. When he’s not creating movement, David enjoys mixing music, photography, and making great coffee.

Last day of Intermediate/Advanced Ballet with our amazing accompanist, Mark Litver!

Our SMC dancers have been incredibly blessed to take class accompanied by live music drawn from some of the greatest ballet masterpieces, including Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, Paquita, La Bayadère, and many more! 🎹🩰

Professor Vanessa Van Wormer’s farewell class will be this Tues. June 9th 1:00-2:30 CPC 304! Open to all SMC Dance students + alumni. Come show her some love and celebrate the 10 years of innovation, inspiration, grit, creativity, empathy, and kindness she poured into the SMC community 🧡
