SENIORS: Important things we chatted about last week! Add these important dates to your calendars 📅

SENIORS! Reminder that we have Senior College Knight this Wednesday! I will be covering all the info I went over with you in your religion class a week or so ago. If you feel that you can relay ALL the info to your parents, great! If parents want to hear it from me themselves, see you on Wednesday 🙂
Also… mark your calendars for all the upcoming college application workshops on the second slide 📅

SENIORS: wear school colors/merch to represent where you plan to further your journey after SJHS! Come celebrate heading to a 4-year, community college, the military, a trade program, or even a gap year for some! Senior parents and SJHS students should come support and see where the class of 2026 is headed!

CLASS OF 2027! Loved chatting with you all over the last two days! See the above dates for the SAT and ACT.
Most Ivy League schools require the SAT/ACT and here are some popular top public universities that do as well (these are not the only ones, still search your schools):
In State:
Stanford University
Caltech
Pomona College
Claremont Makenna College
*USC strongly considers but does not require
Out of state:
University of Florida
Georgia Tech
UT Austin
Purdue University
Ohio State University
University of Georgia
Florida State University
University of Michigan
These are just a few… again, search to know whether a school requires the SAT/ACT or if it is test optional.

You need to come by on your free period! So that means if you have free period 1st, you should get here at 8 am 🙂 No rsvp needed... just show up! See you then!

If you have already applied AND completed your FAFSA, add Allen Hancock College to your College Applictaion list on Schoolinks and update your FAFSA status on Schoolinks.

Attention SJHS Parents & Students! I have now connected the counseling IG acct to this FB page 🙂 Info posted there will also post here!

Follow for usefull reminders and a means of communication.

Share with others you know might find this page helpful!

Note: Most info, if not all, is geared towards students and also goes out via email or canvas, but I have found that some don’t check that as often. Help me train your students to actively check their email communications and canvas.

Email will always be my first line of communication but feel free to ask quick questions here 🙂

Happy summer!

Mrs. Chavez
