🏈🚑 SCS EMS Selected as Medical Provider for the 2026 CCYFL Season

Safety Consulting Services, LLC – EMS Division is proud to announce that we have been selected to provide and coordinate Event EMS coverage for the Central Coast Youth Football League (CCYFL) 2026 season.

This partnership represents much more than placing an EMT on the sideline.

Over the past several months, SCS and CCYFL have worked together to develop a structured approach to youth football medical coverage, including:

• Standardized Event EMS procedures
• Dedicated EMT coverage for participating chapters
• Standardized medical equipment expectations
• Preseason EMT orientation and training
• Concussion recognition and removal-from-play procedures
• Spinal Motion Restriction and injury management
• Standardized patient care and injury documentation
• Coordination between EMTs, Game Field Commissioners, officials, coaches, and league personnel

Earlier this month, SCS conducted our first CCYFL EMT Orientation & Training, helping prepare our EMTs for the unique operational and medical considerations associated with youth football.

On August 22, the 2026 season officially gets underway with the CCYFL Jamborees — and our EMTs will be on the sidelines ready to support the players, coaches, families, and participating chapters throughout the season.

We appreciate CCYFL’s confidence in SCS and look forward to a safe and successful 2026 season.

🚑 EASP Training Milestone Achieved

Yesterday, Safety Consulting Services, LLC – EMS Division conducted Emergency Medical Technician AED Service Provider (EASP) training at the Nipomo Library.

Training included:

• County Authorized Medical Activities (CAM) for both Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties
• Pit Crew CPR / Team-Based Resuscitation
• AED Operations
• Patient Packaging and Movement
• Operational EMS Scenarios

We are proud to announce that 5 additional EMTs successfully completed the program and were authorized as EMT AED Service Providers.

At the beginning of 2026, SCS EMS had 17 EASP-authorized EMTs.

With today’s class, we now have 30 EMTs authorized as EMT AED Service Providers through SBC EMSA.

This training directly supports our ability to provide professional EMS coverage at motorsports events, endurance races, festivals, equestrian events, and community gatherings throughout the Central Coast.

Congratulations to our newest EASP-authorized EMTs and thank you to everyone who participated in today’s training.

⚾🌊 A Full Circle Moment 🌊⚾

Today I found myself standing at the fields of Malibu Little League, reflecting on where the journey began.

As a kid, I spent four years playing baseball here. Like so many young athletes, I learned lessons that extended far beyond the game itself—teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, perseverance, and the importance of community.

Years later, after a career in public safety and EMS, building Safety Consulting Services and being blessed with the opportunity to serve communities throughout California’s Central Coast, I found myself back where it all started.

Looking at the banner that reads:

“Where the Outfield Meets the Ocean”

I couldn’t help but reflect on how fortunate I was to grow up in such a special place.

Today isn’t about baseball.

Today is about giving back.

It’s about returning home and finding ways to serve the community that helped shape me into the person I am today.

Recently, I was honored with a recognition for “Service Above Self.” Standing here reminded me that true service often comes full circle. Sometimes it means returning to the places that invested in you and asking how you can help the next generation.

Thank you, Malibu, for the memories, the lessons, and the foundation you provided.

The game may have changed, but the mission remains the same:

Service Above Self.

🚑 EMS Training Day – Building Real-World Readiness

Today our team completed hands-on training as part of our EMT AED Service Provider Authorization program.

This wasn’t just classroom learning — our EMTs worked through:
• CPR & AED scenarios
• Patient assessment and team coordination
• Packaging and movement (backboard operations)
• Real-world response simulations

At Safety Consulting Services, LLC – EMS Division, we train for how we actually operate in the field.

🚑 What Large-Scale Event EMS Deployment Actually Looks Like

Event EMS coverage is more than placing personnel on-site.

It requires planning, logistics, and coordinated deployment.

Before an event begins, equipment must be staged and distributed to support multiple operational areas.

This includes:

• Medical tents and treatment areas
• BLS equipment and trauma kits
• Oxygen and AED capability
• Communication systems
• Personnel assigned to both fixed and mobile response roles

Large-scale events require structured staffing models that allow for:

• Continuous on-site coverage
• Rapid response capability
• Supervision and coordination across multiple locations
