“If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” — Dolly Parton 💗🤠

Before she became a country music legend, Dolly was an FCCLA member (then known as Future Homemakers of America) while attending Sevier County High School in Tennessee! ❤️ Her FCCLA roots are even recognized in the FCCLA Leadership Hall of Fame.

💡 Dolly’s wisdom for our Cubs: You don’t have to have your whole future figured out in middle school. But you can start building the road you want now. Try something new, set a goal, learn from your mistakes, and don’t be afraid to change direction when something isn’t working. The choices and habits you make today help shape where you go tomorrow. ❤️

💡 Wisdom Wednesday
“The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” — George Bernard Shaw

Our FCCLA members put teamwork to the test with a collaborative drawing challenge, each person had just 60 seconds before passing their picture along, with no communication allowed. Sometimes the final picture came together, and sometimes it looked nothing like the original vision. 😅 It was a simple reminder that when you’re working toward a shared goal, communication is what turns individual efforts into one successful project. ❤️
