🐺 LOBO FUN RUN UPDATE! 🐺

Hi, Lobos!

Due to the rain expected tomorrow morning, we have made the decision to move our Lobo Fun Run to Thursday, October 2nd! 🌧️➡️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We know this change may be inconvenient for families who have already taken time off work, and we truly appreciate your understanding. Our biggest priority is keeping our students, staff, and volunteers safe! We don’t want anyone getting hurt from slipping on wet surfaces or puddles, and we definitely don’t want anyone getting soaked and uncomfortable. 💙

The good news? We are still VERY excited to have our Lobo Fun Run! We’ll just be celebrating on a different day! 🎉

🙋 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
If you’re able to volunteer on October 2nd, please let your child’s teacher know. We would LOVE your help!

💰 And now we have even more time to reach our HUGE $10,000 goal!

Here’s what’s on the line:

🥧 $5,000 — Ms. Lujan & Ms. Bell get pied in the face!

🐺 GONZALES LOBOS — LET’S GET FUN RUNNING!

As you know, our Lobo Fun Run is our biggest fundraiser of the year! The money raised helps us purchase classroom supplies for our teachers, provide prizes for students throughout the year, and fund many of the fun events our students enjoy!

We’re currently at $2,000, but we have some BIG goals to reach!

🥧 $5,000 BY THURSDAY:
Two lucky students will get to pie Ms. Bell and Ms. Lujan in the face!

🥧 $7,000:
Ms. A, Mr. Granillo, and Ms. Shirlee will take a pie to the face!

🥧 $10,000+:
That’s right… LEO will take a pie to the face!

And there are even MORE prizes for our students and classes:

• Classes that raise $1,000+ earn a pizza party!
• Students who raise $35 earn a cute Lobo clip-on plushie.
• Keep raising to earn a Lobo Fun Run shirt, Isotopes raffle ticket, and Lobo Hoodie!
• The student who raises the most gets to be Principal for the Day AND gets lunch bought for them!
• The class that raises the most gets to design their very own Lobo gear!

We’re in a time crunch! Now is the time to reach out to businesses, family, friends, neighbors, and anyone who would love to support our Gonzales Lobos.

Let’s see how far we can take this fundraiser—and more importantly, let’s see who gets pied! 😂

We have testing tomorrow and Wednesday, and we want to make sure our students are ready to do their very best! 💪🐺

Please help us by:
💻 Charging your student’s Chromebook tonight and bringing it fully charged each day.
⏰ Arriving to school ON TIME so students don’t miss valuable testing time.
🏫 Please avoid early pick-ups during testing unless it is truly an emergency.
😴 Get a good night’s rest so our students can come to school rested, focused, and ready to shine! 🌟

Santa Fe Public Schools continues to monitor air quality during wildfire smoke events and other air quality alerts to help protect the health and safety of students and staff.

SFPS uses AirNow.gov as its primary source for Air Quality Index (AQI) information while also considering conditions at individual school sites, as air quality can vary across the district.

Principals may move recess, physical education classes, and other outdoor activities indoors at any time based on conditions at their school. Schools do not need to wait for a districtwide directive to make adjustments when conditions warrant.

SFPS will continue to monitor air quality and make decisions with the health and safety of students and staff as our priority.
