We're still in a glow remembering two unforgettable performances from the Ourselves: The Remix featured artists alongside their collaborators. Thanks to all who worked together to bring these songs to life, and all that came to witness and feel the stories, emotions and music together 🙌🏾

Reflection is iterative and deeply personal. However, along the way, recognizing how we have been impacted by the experience, and expressing that impact in contact with supportive others, often through some form of creative expression such as physical movement, dance, art, poetry, or other modes of poetic expression, can reconnect us freshly with our own aliveness, and communicate to the world – and to ourselves - what we have learned.

As our program participants in the Ourselves: The Remix program work up to their live performances May 20, 2026, we are taking a moment with this passage in our pedagogy to ground ourselves in the importance of creative expression. We’re excited to introduce Ourselves: The Remix. 🎶

Over five months, participants will slow down, look inward, and turn their stories into song—reflecting on who they are, who they’ve been, and who they’re becoming. Sometimes music is a mirror, and these program particpants will reflect years of lived experience through creative expression.

Created in partnership with Santa Fe Pro Musica, composer Aaron Helgeson, Innovate+Educate and community artist John Paul Granillo.
