We are in the process of hiring for several positions at Acequia Madre Elementary, a Blue Ribbon and arts-focused K-6 school in the historic center of Santa Fe, New Mexico!

We have a Kindergarten EA and a 4th grade general education position available. We are also looking for a Band Teacher (to be shared with other schools).

Acequia Madre Elementary wrapped up the school year with an unforgettable Annual Field Day filled with laughter, teamwork, excitement, and just a little bit of magic! 🧚✨

This year’s theme came to life thanks to Acequia Madre’s amazing team with a little help from Tinkerbell, bringing smiles and energy to every corner of the field. From the highly anticipated Tug-of-War showdown between the teachers and the 6th graders to the staff races featuring the spoon-and-egg race, three-legged race, and potato sack races; the competition was fierce and the fun was nonstop! 😂🏃‍♀️🥚🥔

One of the crowd favorites was our hilarious Granny Pants challenge featuring Kindergartens very own Ms. Simone Hernandez with 6th grader Maisie Mahony versus 5th grades very own Tinkerbell aka Amy Stone with 6th grader Rio Hendrie; and in the end… Whose pants were bigger??? Tinkerbell and Rio for the WIN! 🏆✨💚

The joy in our students’ eyes and the excitement at each beautifully organized station made this day truly special. Thank you to all the amazing parents and volunteers who showed up to support the flow of each station, cut up fruit, cheer on our students, and help the day run so smoothly. Your support means the world to AMES! 🍉🍓👏

And a HUGE shoutout to Ms. J our incredible PE teacher, for organizing and putting together such a magical day for our students. From start to finish, your hard work, creativity, and dedication made this event one to remember. We also want to recognize her amazing helpers; our very own hardworking 6th graders! 💙👏
