Fresh from the farm... and straight into the market!

At the Brainy Farmers Market, children become growers, shopkeepers, customers, and entrepreneurs as they harvest produce, stock shelves, create displays, and serve their community.

From crisp apples and fresh carrots to colorful flowers and homemade treats, every visit to the market is a chance to discover something new.

Children take on roles like:
🥬 Produce Manager
🛒 Market Cashier
🌻 Flower Vendor
🍓 Local Farmer
💵 Customer

While they're having fun, they're also developing important skills:
🍎 Healthy food awareness
💰 Money and math skills
⚖️ Sorting, weighing, and comparing
🗣️ Communication and customer service
🤝 Cooperation and problem-solving
🌱 Understanding where food comes from

The market quickly comes alive with conversations like:
"Would you like to buy some fresh strawberries?"

"Can I help you find something today?"

There's always something growing at Brainy Family Farm!

From gathering fresh eggs and caring for animals to harvesting vegetables and stocking the farm stand, children experience the important work that brings food from the farm to our tables.

Every day on the farm offers a new job to do.
Children become:
👩‍🌾 Farmers
🥚 Egg Collectors
🐄 Animal Caretakers
🌱 Gardeners
🚜 Farm Managers

As they work together, they're building skills in:
🌾 Responsibility and teamwork
🐓 Caring for animals
🥕 Healthy food awareness
🔢 Counting, sorting, and organizing
🌱 Understanding how plants grow
🌎 Appreciating where our food comes from

One child may be feeding the animals while another is harvesting vegetables for the farm stand. Someone else is gathering eggs or loading the tractor for the day's deliveries. Every role helps the farm thrive.

Along the way, children naturally begin asking questions:
"Why do chickens lay eggs?"
"What do plants need to grow?"
"How does milk get from the farm to the grocery store?"

Those conversations help children connect with nature, understand the world around them, and develop an appreciation for the people who grow and produce our food.
