THE “DEBUNK” OF SAINT JOSEPH’S STAIRCASE THAT MARY J COOK STRAW COOKED UP.
For anyone who doesn’t know the story of Saint Joseph’s staircase at the convent in Loretto, the story was relayed by the nuns that when the problem of a staircase to the choir loft could not be solved, carpenters were called in but could not see a solution, it was over 20 foot to the loft and there would not be enough room for a staircase.
After a nine day novena to Saint Joseph an old man with white hair showed up at their door with only a few tools asking to help the sisters out. He had arrived on a donkey.
Like many Catholics I believe this to be a miraculous event and the builder could have actually been Saint Joseph himself. The sisters were adamant they did not know the man, he worked alone and for no payment.
Then there is the mystery of the wood he provided which didn’t come from anywhere near that area, the quality of the design and craftmanship which has amazed carpenters who has visited amazed.
In the fantasy world of Mary Jean Straw Cook, in her book, The Sisters and their Santa Fe Chapel, she tried hard to discredit the nuns version of events she’s tried to put forward men and has since came up with the wonderful fantasy that a Francois “Frenchy” Rochas was the builder of the Loretto staircase and they just happened to discover his grave from the 1800’s in pristine condition as if it was built around 2008 (cough) ( no not cough in case!....).
I have read all the stories and the history of this man must have been contrived by someone with a very low IQ as it is truly ridiculous, but as with other matters as long as they convince as many as they can it’s worth the effort.
And of course, all the masons and communist media sources were fast to finally get the mystery of the staircase cleared up! They didn’t want people thinking there were real miracles in the Catholic Church now, did they?
Anyway Mary Jean must be a real unique lady to find all this amazing information, after trying to discredit the story of Saint Joseph as the possible mystery builder for decades and missing this literally under her nose.
How could she have missed this key piece of information? How did that happen?
Not only did she come up with this, but also she found an inscribed plaque with a story about him! Wow, and how fortunate! And how it had not been discoloured with time. People must have walked past that thing for years not knowing just how important this man was!
But wait for it! Not only this, but she boasts that she just needed a confirmation in writing, then bingo! She just happens to find a newspaper report ( which anyone can fake by the way) claiming a man said that Frenchy built not only the staircase, but also the staircase in Saint Vincent’s Sanitorium which only opened 16 years after Frenchy died. ( that’s a miracle !) Liars need to do good research, but watch out as they have a habit of changing history as with other stories! .
But the pinnacle of the whole event ( and remember this woman had spent years doing this and all of a sudden all the “evidence” just appears, she finds the probate record with all his tools 🤗🤗🤗🤗😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.
Sorry, I’ve a pinnacle on the pinnacle of the story. SHE FINDS HIS TOOLS IN A MUSEUM SHE IS ASSOCIATED WITH, IN 2008. Who would have put frenchys tools in a museum, where were they kept before this? Mary Jeans shed?

This Loretto Church building with its miraculous staircase and all its records left the Church after Vatican II. The enemies set to work on anything which proves Catholicism, this is just another attack and the “findings” of this woman needs exposed!
It’s important to mention that MJ tried to push a story before to say it was another man, A man had claimed it was his grandfather but the nuns called it “an imaginary statement” told the man he could not prove it was his grandfather, and said that if they proceeded to publish the story they would be accused of fraud. The said man later agreed with the nuns and said he could not prove his story!
Liar. The best before date on this fraud is expired!
The nuns described an old man with grey hair- Frenchy if he existed would have been in his 30’s when gunned down in the big story of MJ .
