Clay Slurry - ⭐️Magic Glue ⭐️- How to Make It!
This is a modified version of paper clay that will save you!

I use this for attaching all kinds of things: large slabs, coils, small intricate items. Whether soft clay, leather hard or even bone dry… it still works like glue 😮 It even works for repairing glazed pieces to refire.

I have tried it out on different porcelain clays, stoneware clays, raku and earthenware. After over 18 years of working with clay, teaching for over 13yrs in schools and 15yrs in arts groups, this hack works so well 🙌

These measurements are approximate and can be adjusted based on the moisture of your slurry:

**Start with:**
- 1 cup of your clay slip/slops/trimmings with water (make sure it’s the same clay as your using for your project)

**Add:**
- 1/4 cup shredded toilet paper
- 1/4 cup vinegar (any kind will work, so buy the cheapest you can find)
- (Optional: A drop or two of dish detergent to prevent mold)
some people opt for “magic water” instead, which is water, soda ash and sodium silicate - but the vinegar also acts as a defloculant—and is easier to sauce)

🔶Blend with an emulsion blender stick. ♦️Don’t skip this step!

The final consistency should be like coarse toothpaste. If you need it firmer, add more shredded paper; for a pastier consistency, add a little more vinegar.

Use it to join handles/slabs/coils or repair cracks. Simply pack it into the crack, let it dry, and once dry, sand it smooth/or wipe with a damp sponge. Glaze as usual.

You’re welcome! Feel free to ask any questions in the comments. Let me know how you go❓
