🎉 A HUGE congratulations to Ms. Markham! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to celebrate our very own Ms. Marion Markham, who has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 NM MESA Dr. Arthur H. and Joan Guenther Advisor Achievement Award! 🏆

What makes this recognition especially exciting? Ms. Markham was one of only TWO educators in the entire state of New Mexico selected for this honor this year! 🌟

Ms. Markham leads our MESA after-school program, creating opportunities for our students to explore STEM, problem-solve, collaborate, create, and discover new possibilities beyond the school day. Her commitment to our students and the MESA program is truly something worth celebrating!

Today, representatives from NM MESA joined us at El Dorado to officially present Ms. Markham with her award, and we were so excited to celebrate her! ❤️

Congratulations, Ms. Markham! We are incredibly proud to have you representing El Dorado and making such an impact on our Dust Devils!

🎉 Trivia Tuesday Winner! 🎉

Our wonderful Spanish language teacher, Miss Araiza Loya, was today’s Trivia Tuesday winner! 🥳 She got to choose a special treat from some of the goodies generously donated by our families for the Woot Woot Wagon! 💛

Today’s question was: What animal has fingerprints that are closest to humans? 🤔🐾

The answer… a koala! 🐨 Their fingerprints are so similar to ours that they can be difficult to distinguish!

Lucas earned a positive office referral because his teacher says he is always incredibly kind and helpful even when no one is watching and without ever being asked. 💙

Challenging your school principal to a basketball challenge🤝 YOU GOT IT. LET’S GO! 😂🏀

I won’t tell you who won the competition today… 🤫🤣 BUT I will tell you this: tomorrow Mrs. Maestas will be wearing more comfortable shoes, and that score is going to be a whole lot closer! 😂👟

After our challenge, we did a little scrimmage Nayeli and Tanner and were on Miss Maestas' team and it was a close game! Tomorrow, we will get the win! 💪

Never too busy for a little friendly competition with our Dust Devils! 💙🌪️

💙🌪️ Some of our wonderful thought partners as we continue building our El Dorado Community School Pledge!

Last week, some of our Academy students visited our younger grade levels and interviewed students about an important question: What does it mean to be an El Dorado Dust Devil?

Across grade levels, the same themes kept coming up: ✨ Be authentically yourself. Be kind to others. Work hard.

Today, this amazing crew came together to review what they heard from their fellow students and decided that these ideas should be at the heart of our school pledge. 💙

We love that this pledge is being built with our students, for our students, and reflects what they believe makes our El Dorado community special.

Onward to making our pledge official! 🌪️✨ We hope to have a few options ready by the end of the week for our community to consider. We’re getting closer! 💙
