We're proud to share an op-ed by our Executive Director, Michelle Katz, published in The Santa Fe New Mexican.

In the article, Michelle reflects on the impact of Communities In Schools of New Mexico and the importance of ensuring students have the relationships, resources, and support they need to succeed.

We are grateful for the many students, families, educators, partners, and community members who believe in this work and help make it possible every day.

Last year, 96% of our case-managed students graduated or stayed in school.

Celebrating the Class of 2026!

Communities In Schools of New Mexico is proud to celebrate 42 of our case-managed students who are graduating this year. Of those graduates, 20 received Carson Awards recognizing their resilience, hard work, and commitment to their future.

At CISNM, we know relationships matter. Through individualized support, connection, and advocacy, 96% of our case-managed students stay in school and graduate.

These moments are possible because of students who keep showing up, Student Success Facilitators who walk alongside them, families who support them, and communities that believe in their success.

We are honored to celebrate these incredible students and all they have accomplished. Congratulations, graduates — we cannot wait to see what comes next. 💙
