Fayette Street Academy

Fayette Street Academy Fayette Street Academy is a small alternative elementary/middle school in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We are a unique and very successful school.

We are a private independent not for profit, co-educational school, teaching students ages six through fourteen. Our curriculum includes math, reading, writing, languages (Chinese, Greek, Latin and Spanish), geography, history, art and music. These subjects are woven together and integrated in an age appropriate child available format. For close to 30 years our students have taken how to learn in an integrated, self referenced way with them on their journey through high school and college. We welcome you on any of our open-door visiting days throughout the school year.

Our daily loop walk is an important part of the rhythm at Fayette. It’s a chance to get outside, move our bodies, release some energy and anxiety, talk with friends, and simply reset.

A couple of times each year, we open our doors for Parent Visiting Days. Interested parents are invited to spend time with us, explore the grounds, observe our classrooms, and ask as many questions as they’d like.

Fayette Street Academy is intentionally small, which means we have room for only a few new students each year. Visiting is a wonderful way to experience firsthand what makes our learning community so unique.

Around We Go 🔄🌿

There's a loop walk built into every school day at Fayette Street Academy - and yes, we love our circles! Getting up, getting outside, and getting the body moving gives students a chance to reset, recharge, and return ready for whatever comes next.

We have some of the most interesting conversations when the students feel open and safe. These walks are part of the secret sauce to get in touch.
