Santa Fe Indian School Owned and operated by the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico, SFIS serves 650+ students from the Pueblo Tribes.

The Santa Fe Indian School (SFIS) is a tribally-controlled secondary school (grades 7-12) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States. Of the 650 students, 2/3 reside in dormitories, while the remaining students bus in from the nearby pueblos. SFIS provides a challenging, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment that shares responsibility with community, parents, and students to develop the students' potential to meet obligations to themselves and their communities.

For the first time ever, SFIS Culinary Arts team competed in the New Mexico State Fair High School Green Chili Stew Cook-Off amongst 8 other schools! We are excited to share that the team took home 2nd place with an award of $3,000 from New Mexico Gas Company!! 🎉

"The best dessert of the competition" came from one of the judges. Another mentioned, "your marbled tortillas are fire." 🔥
