Through supine, seated, and standing poses, we squeeze, expand, and rebalance the tissues of the spine by lengthening the vertebral column, refreshing the blood, and opening space for the breath to go deeper.

In this five-day immersion, we move into more complex sequencing, more nuanced movement variations, and a deeper understanding of how SATYA works within the body from the shoulder girdle and cranial-sacral rhythm to lymphatic drainage and pranayama.

Friday afternoon, we open the hips through deep, fluid sequences designed to prepare the body for genuine ease and seated meditation.

Have you ever begun a yoga class with a cup of tea? 🍵

In two weeks, we'll gather online for Tao of Tea & Yoga.

Students will prepare Sencha tea at home, then join Tias & Surya on Zoom to drink together in community, accompanied by ancient verses from the Taoist and Chan Buddhist traditions.

From that place of warmth and stillness, we'll move into meditation and then into 45 minutes of SATYA and asana.

All you need is your mat, a quiet corner, and a cup of tea. 🌱 This class is online, so you can join from anywhere in the world.
