NEW TEACHER SPOTLIGHT
Ms. Melaney Miller
1st Grade

Hello! I am so excited to join the Arcadia team as the First Grade teacher! I have been an early childhood educator for 3 years now and have a passion for helping young learners grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

I believe that every child is uniquely created by God and love creating a loving, faith-filled classroom where students feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. As a follower of Christ, I think it is so important to teach children about God at an early age and incorporate Him into every part of the day.

My favorite Bible verse is “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” (Galatians 1:10), reminding me of my true reason for being here, which is to follow and serve God only and not stress about what people think!

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my friends and fiancé, pursuing photography, and traveling! I am so excited to see what this year brings!

Kids will journey through the rolling green hills of Ireland as they discover the truth of Psalm 23 and learn about the Good Shepherd who loves and cares for them every day. 🐑

🌟 Friday Fun: Weekend Activity Suggestion

This weekend, look forward together.

The end of a school year is not just a finish line. It is a sending. Every student who walks out of a classroom in May carries something with them — lessons learned, character shaped, faith grown. This weekend is a chance to send your family into summer with intention.

A few ways to close the year well:
— Sit down with your kids and dream together — what do you each hope for this summer? For next year? For your life?
— Revisit a goal your child set at the start of the school year and talk about how far they have come
— Write one word on a notecard that you want to define your family's summer — post it where everyone will see it
— Pray specifically over each child — speak life, purpose, and identity over them out loud

You are not just raising children. You are raising people the world will one day need.
We are honored to walk that road with you. It has been a privilege to be part of your family's year. We cannot wait to see what comes next.
