Dear Acequia Madre Families,

I am honored to announce the appointment of Dr. Dietger De Maeseneer as the new principal at Acequia Madre Elementary. A date and time will be forthcoming for a meet and greet with superintendent Larry Chavez and Dr. De Maeseneer. Dr. De Maeseneer wants you all to know that he is excited to get to know and collaborate with you.

Although we are sad to see her leave, we are also very much celebrating the promotion of Acequia Madre Principal Kathy Pack Casaus into to her new position as Assistant Superintendent with Santa Fe Public Schools. We are grateful for all that Ms. Kathy has done to keep our small and unique school's stakeholders, community, families and students happy, healthy, engaged, and of course learning! Ms. Kathy has proven her ability to stay positive and move forward in any situation. We know her future at Santa Fe Public Schools District offices will be SO very bright! Thank you Ms. Kathy!

We are grateful for the support of the Santa Fe community to help us reach students and families who come to our school from across the City and County too. If you would like to support our unique programs, including our violin program that puts a violin in every student's hands, our outdoor organic learning gardens and our historic commitment to NDI dance, performance and the visual arts in a unique small public elementary school setting, it is NOT too late. Great News! The T-Shirts orders are in and will be available at a "Grab n' Go" at Acequia Madre on Friday, March 26th from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. The Grab n' Go will be available in the Parking Lot. If you are not available at that time they will be at Acequia Madre for distribution to the students after April 6th.
