The concentrating solar photovoltaic – or CPV – system at SFCC from Integrated Solar Technologies Manufacturing (ISTM) https://i-solar-technologies.com/
The CPV system is an ISTM prototype to validate the technology. Providing electricity, heat, and wi-fi, and with efficiency of around 35% (compared to around 15% for typical PV systems), systems like this will provide networks of power and communication in remote areas that aren’t served by traditional transmission and distribution lines. Stay tuned as the system comes online over the next couple of months, and if projects like this look interesting to you, learn more about how to sign up for SFCC’s microgrid and automation courses at https://www.sfcc.edu/programs/facility-technologies/
