Santa Fe ISD invites all current Pre-K through 5th Grade students to participate in the 2026 Summer Reading Program!

📅 Program Dates: May 26 – July 31, 2026

How to Join:

In your email, please include:
• Student’s first and last name
• 2025–2026 homeroom teacher and campus
Families will receive directions by email with a username and password for Track My Read.

Open Checkout Events
🕓 4:00–6:00 PM
• June 17 at Barnett Elementary
• July 8 at Kubacak Elementary
• July 22 at RJW Elementary
⭐ Special appearances and activities with superhero characters will take place from 4:30–5:30 PM at each event.

Reading Goals & Prizes:
By June 17 — 200 Minutes Logged
Students will receive:
• Superhero-themed backpack
• Bookmark
• Superhero visit

By July 8 — 600 Minutes Logged
Students will receive:
• SnoHut shaved ice coupon
• Superhero character figure
• Superhero visit with face paint

By July 22 — 800 Minutes Logged
Students will receive:
• SFISD Summer Reading Program shirt
• Superhero visit with hero training activities

1,000 Minutes Logged
Students who reach 1,000 minutes will receive:
• All prizes from the 200–800 minute levels
• Makerspace/STEM party at their home campus
• Name announced on campus announcements
• Photo featured on Facebook and the SFISD website
• Book coupon during the Book Fair
• Entry into a campus drawing for a $100 Cinemark gift card to purchase four movie tickets with popcorn and candy

What an incredible year it’s been for our kindergarten classes! From the very first day to graduation, these young learners have grown in so many ways!

They’ve learned their letters and numbers, made new friends, explored their creativity, and built confidence that will carry them into the next exciting chapter. We are so proud of all their hard work.

A big thank you to our amazing teachers and supportive families who helped make this year so special. It truly takes a village, and this one showed up in the best way!
