We are so proud of our THRIVE families who represented our school and shared Show Love. Create Joy. Work as a Team. Be Brave. with our Santa Fe community.

Dear THRIVE Families,

Welcome back! Tomorrow, August 12, is our first day of the 2026–2027 school year, and we are SO excited to see our students and families!

A few important reminders for tomorrow:
• Early Dismissal: Tomorrow is an early dismissal day, 1:15pm
• Drop-Off: Due to air quality, drop-off will begin at 7:35 AM this week. Please do not drop off before 7:35 AM.
• Check-In: We will have tables outside for students to check in.
• Goodbyes: To help our students transition smoothly, we ask families to say their goodbyes outside during drop-off. Our Buffalo Ambassadors will be there to welcome students and help them get to their classrooms. We are so grateful for our THRIVE families and excited for a new school year filled with learning, growth, and wonderful experiences!

Our teachers are putting the finishing touches on their spaces, and now all we’re missing is YOU!

THRIVE families, join us for our Back-to-School Meet & Greet this Monday, August 10 from 4:00–5:30 PM. Meet your teachers, explore the school, follow the Buffalo Trail, get your back-to-school questions answered, and reconnect with our THRIVE community.

Our goal is simple: every student and family leaves feeling known, welcomed, and confident that they belong at THRIVE.

In the blink of an eye, our kindergarten graduates become our eighth-grade graduates. 🎓🧡🦬💙

Today we celebrate both the beginning and the next chapter. It is one of the greatest privileges of being a school to walk alongside students during some of their most formative years. From kindergarten caps to eighth-grade diplomas, what a gift it has been to watch these students grow.
We welcome our kindergarten graduates with excitement for the journey ahead, and we send our eighth graders into the world with pride, knowing they are ready to continue learning, growing, and making a difference in their communities.

To our graduates: We hope you carry the values of Thrive with you wherever you go. Be brave. Create joy. Show love. Work as a team. You have practiced these things here, and we know you will continue to do so in the schools, workplaces, and communities you touch next.

A special thank you to our graduation speakers, Steven Carrillo of the New Mexico Public Education Commission and Representative Linda Serrato, who serves Santa Fe County in the New Mexico House of Representatives. Thank you for taking the time to celebrate our students and speak life into their futures. We are grateful for all you do to support education, strengthen our communities, and invest in the success of students across New Mexico and here at Thrive.

☀️🧡💙 What a way to wrap up the year!

After a week full of games, challenges, water fun, and school spirit, Field Day was the perfect grand finale. We loved seeing our students cheering each other on, working together, and soaking up the sunshine while making memories that will last all summer long.

A huge thank you to Mrs. Allen for planning such an incredible week for our students, and to all of the amazing parent volunteers who jumped in to help make it happen. We are so grateful for a Thrive community that always shows up, lends a hand, and helps create special experiences for our kids.

🧡💙 What a special day at Special Olympics! 🏅

Our students have been meeting throughout the year for activities, connection, and community, and this event was such a fun and meaningful way to celebrate all of their hard work, growth, and friendships together.

We are so proud of our students for showing courage, joy, teamwork, and inclusivity every step of the way. A huge thank you to Mrs. Liz and her team for all of the planning and love poured into this event, to Special Olympics New Mexico, to Thrive PTO for the popsicles 🍧, and to our staff and families for supporting our students so well.
