What a joy to spend the weekend at the Scotts Valley Multicultural Fair! Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to say hello, swap stories, and celebrate the many cultures that make our community so vibrant.
It was a wonderful chance to share one of our favorite spaces on campus: the Cultural Center. Throughout the year, this room hosts celebrations from across our community, many of them planned and led by students sharing a piece of their own heritage. Already this year, students have gathered to honor Latine Heritage Month, celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, and share apples and honey for Rosh Hashanah, wishing one another a sweet year ahead. From red paper lanterns to handmade garlands, the Progress Pride flag, and a bright graffiti mural, the space keeps a little of every tradition that passes through it.
On quieter days, it’s a calm corner to study, talk, or simply take a breath. Students, families, and staff are always welcome, and if you haven’t visited yet, we’d love to show you around!
