love yourself in such a way that you and others are seen, heard, uplifted, protected

as said in his piece on the bad bunny performance, “love and joy isn’t just our birthright — it’s our sustaining grace”

self love and personal growth and self improvement isn’t just about you

it’s also about the world you want to create

the only thing more powerful than hate is love

want to feel good in your life?

like you have purpose and passion and joy and energy and alignment?

then stop putting someone else at the center of your life

no more waiting around…

for someone to change

for someone to choose

i really wanted to put somebody else at the center of my life

but

they weren’t actually a good fit for me

and

i was dreaming too small, was too content to let old desires lie dormant in my comfort zone

i wasted time trying to convince people to show up for me…

…before i was showing up for myself

i was waiting for other people to romance me before i was romancing myself

and because of that i was letting people in that i shouldn’t have

giving too much while receiving too little

and i thought i was happy to do it

once i filled up my own cup, once i had a place to pour all my lover girl (gender neutral) energy, i realized not only did i have so much more to give

but there was so much more i wanted

after that, nobody else gets in unless they can meet the standards i’m meeting for myself

you’ve changed

you no longer accept

love-bombing
breadcrumbing
future faking

you don’t tolerate being

lied to
controlled
manipulated

you no longer believe words over actions

why?

because you romanced yourself so hard

that nobody is getting through the gate until they love you *at least* as well as you love yourself

where are you
on your journey
to being who you want?

do you have the life you want?

what would you need to let go of to get it?

what would you want to invite in?

do you know how to choose yourself?

so that both your present and future self are satisfied?
