On the week of National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG), the AIRC will be hosting a "Bring Her Home" Film Screening and community "activity" rooted in honoring all Native/Indigenous/First Nations/Alaska Native women/two spirit/trans people across Turtle Island.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided. T-shirts will be provided to the first 20 people who arrive!

For our second episode, we invited Donnie Veal, a current UCSC transfer student, to join us for a conversation about his work as the Outreach Specialist at the Underground Scholars. This program services formerly incarcerated and system-impacted students. In this episode, we discuss transitions, belonging, ageism, and reframing language and perception of previously incarcerated and non-traditional students.
Content Warning: This episode contains themes and discussions of state and institutional violence.

In celebration of April being National Arab American Heritage Month, the UC SSWANA Coalition is hosting Arab American Activism! This virtual program will include a panel of current Arab American undergraduate and graduate students from various UC campuses (including a UCSC undergrad) to discuss their identity and how they plan to leave their legacy on campus. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions to our panelists in the Q&A session. Join us on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 12:00 PM. You are also invited to join our watch party of the livestream in the Ethnic Resource Center (ERC) lounge (located on the 3rd floor of the Baytree building)! Refreshments will be available.
