Pt 1 of Pillar Point revisit eDNA bioblitz! We surveyed the beach 8 years ago. 8 years later, does the marine protected area look different from the unprotected area? It didn't 8 years ago. member and grad student Ando Rabearisoa are leading the research with .e.dna and you are welcome to join in!

Amazing day where the team collected eDNA samples at Paicines Ranch to compare to historic DNA we will examine in a nearby lake core! Lots of botanizing, birding, and fungus hunting. After fieldwork some of us talked new projects over lunch and then went to see the Environmental Art + Social Practice MFA show where .e.dna team artists Leslie Horwitz and Kevin Corcoran had incredible installations, including Lulu the bullfrog!

Great day with a boat load of wonderful volunteers! Engineers, biochemists, ecologists, community members! Pinto Lake is blooming and we cant wait to see what this data tells us about responses to harmful algae blooms!

Last week we wrapped up sample collection & said goodbye to Swanton Ranch. 115 samples along 2 burn gradients! Can't wait to see what the data tells us! Thanks to all who volunteered their time and stay tined for results!
