At 4:50pm on May 8, YARR received notice that there may be ICE activity at the base of the UCSC campus. By 5:00 p.m., YARR was at the location to verify. YARR checked the area for 30 minutes, and was unable to verify any ICE presence. Instead, we verified that there were several people in CHP uniforms, wearing vests that said POLICE on the back. The black Mercedes Van appeared to be the same black Mercedes Van that was posted up at the West entrance earlier in the day.
