Our presentation showcased our libraries as the hubs/hearts of our schools: culturally reflective and sustaining safe spaces, information/multi-literacy centers, community partners, and “third places” where students can be themselves.

We are so proud, and so grateful that our community supports our school libraries with their votes!

…this National Library Workers Day, we honor our beloved Fiona! The BSSC Library is what it is, because Fiona is who she is. We love her, and are so lucky.

...there was SO MUCH eclipse fun, science, and wonder today in the BSSC Library, and in the world!

If you have gently used eclipse glasses, please consider sending them to Astronomers Without Borders ! They will give them new life in underserved communities for future eclipses!

ASTRONOMERS WITHOUT BORDERS COLLECTING AND RECYCLING ECLIPSE VIEWING GLASSES FOR FUTURE SOLAR ECLIPSES AROUND THE WORLD  Calabasas, CA, March 26, 2024: Astronomers Without Borders (AWB) is collecting gently-used eclipse-viewing glasses from across the US and Canada to send to underserved communities and schools internationally for use in future solar eclipses.
