We are thrilled to invite you to our New Voices Work-In-Progress Student Showcase from 7pm-8pm on Saturday, December 12th via Zoom.

New Voices is West's newest teen program focused on LGBTQQAI+ teens, ages 16-19, living in Santa Cruz County. Students spent their first semester building performance-making skills to create original work based on their personal experiences as q***r youth.

Do you identify as an LGBTQQAI+ 16 – 19 year old living in Santa Cruz County? Interested in performing, writing, activism, or social justice? Looking for a safe place to make meaning out of your experiences and build community in the process? The New Voices Youth Performance Program is a 10-week acting, playwriting, and interdisciplinary theatre training program that will provide new and experienced performers with the tools they need to create original performance work to amplify their voice in the community.

West Creative Performing Arts is excited to announce our New Voices program this Fall 2020 which is made possible by the generous support of the California Humanities Quick Grant. The New Voices program is a space for LGBTQAI+ youth, ages 16-19, to hone their artistic voice and create new performance work around their lived experiences.
