Two-year-old Ellie learned something big at the Toddler Center this week: how to stand up for herself with confidence and kindness. When a friend pushed her, she calmly said, “I’m moving my body away now,” and walked off - only to be happily playing beside him minutes later.

Imagine if everyone communicated like that. This is the everyday magic of early childhood education. 💛

For 48 years, the Santa Cruz Toddler Center has provided high-quality, RIE inspired childcare to local families. And this year, over 75% of our families needed scholarships to make care possible.

Quality childcare doesn’t just help kids - it strengthens our whole community. Research shows early childhood programs can yield a 13% yearly return on investment through better education, health, and employment outcomes. 🧠📚💪
