Pastor Brandon Johnson is a Network Planting Pastor with The Gathering By the Bay, a network of Simple/Organic/House Churches in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Jose. Brandon refers to himself as a ʻKingdom Catalyst,ʼ called to collaborate with the Holy Spirit in planting hundreds of
Jesus following supernatural faith communities in the Central Coast, the greater bay area, and the world. Brandon holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts, in Biblical Studies from Vanguard University of Southern California. Brandon has been married to his wife, Kristina, for ten years. Dr. Kristina Johnson has a PhD in Clinical Psychology and works at Kaiser, San Jose. She has a passion for raising up a generation of prophetic warriors called to hear the voice of God and transform the world. Together they oversee, train and pastor the Firestarters Network, currently a organic church of creative artists and musicians in their 20ʼs and 30ʼs. Together their mission is to train, equip, and release a passionate generation that will infiltrate and transform the world with the good news of Jesus Christ. Their four-year-old daughter, Kassandra, is very active in their simple churches and regularly takes part in prayers for healing, words of knowledge and dance. Keith and Susan Schaad are co-founders of Tree of Life Transformation Center in Santa Cruz and serve as Regional Directors and trainers for Bethel Sozo teams. Keith is an ordained minister who was a church planter from 1994 to 2008. He planted 4 churches in 3 states. From 2008 to 2010 Keith was trained by Bethel and served in leadership roles for their Street Ministry Teams, Sozo Teams, Healing Rooms Teams and was a Firestarters trainer. His passion is to train up believers who positively impact their generation and community with the supernatural goodness of God. Susan is an ordained minister who attended Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, California. She holds a degree in ChristianPsychology from Simpson University. Her passion is to see the hurting and wounded made whole by connecting with the love of God.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT SCSS

1. WHY A NEW SCHOOL OF SUPERNATURAL MINISTRY? There is a need in Santa Cruz and the Central Coast for a School of Supernatural ministry that is dedicated to raising up a generation that sees their God given, blood bought inheritance as a naturally supernatural one. We believe it is very important that new believers are not converted to a new religious system, but reborn into a dynamic supernatural relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. We aim to
raise up a generation of believers who walk in, and live out the life and promises of Jesus.

2. WHAT WILL THE NEW SCHOOL BE LIKE? The Santa Cruz School of the Supernatural will be modeled after BSSM, Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, of Bethel Church in Redding California. We will teach, train and impart much of the same curriculum, principles, concepts and spiritual gifts as BSSM but, our weekly format will differ so that students may attend the school while they live work and impact the Central Coast, and the Greater Bay Area. We see graduates of this school being an active part of the transformation of the
spiritual climate of Santa Cruz County. We feel that by teaching, training and imparting we can help elevate the level and service that our students will have in their local churches and communities, as well as equip them for a global impact to the nations.Our hope is that many of our students will be going out planting new works and churches and thereby transforming the spiritual climates of other regions, cities and
nations. Again, we are responding to a need to have a BSSM-type school in Santa Cruz so that students wonʼt have to quit their jobs and relocate to another city to receive this level of training.

3. WHAT WILL THE FORMAT BE? The school will train students in class one night a week, and then on a separate day we will divide into small groups that will partner with local ministries within the community to develop our students ministry skills. (SCSS is actively looking for local ministries who would like to partner with us on this. Local ministries may contact us at any of the contact information provided.) We will offer a variety of guest speakers to our students and to the community. This can be offered locally far below the cost of conferences that require travel and hotel stays. When does it start? We are excited to announce that the school will officially begin fall 2011! However we will be doing a Summer Preview Session this May-June 201, beginning on Wednesday May 4th. The Summer Session is sort of our “Sampler Platter” of what will be offered in the school. We will teach a one or two night version of what we will expand on in 6 or 7 nights in the full school. This should give potential students a taste to see if they are
ready to commit to a full school year. Fall registration will require a one-year commitment for the school year. Our school does plan to offer additional training with second year curriculum for advance supernatural training and a third year for ministry development and placement internships.

4. HOW DO I REGISTER SCSS? To register for the Summer Preview Session that application and registration fee is due no later than Monday May 2nd. Some Scholarships are available to eligible students.
