We are deeply saddened by the events surrounding the recent podcast between Steven Forrest and Ricky Williams and by the impact it has had on the astrological community. We recognize the hurt, pain, disappointment, and confusion so many have experienced, and our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected.
As many of you are aware, Steven used the N-word during this podcast, which was independently produced and published by Lila and was not an FCEA production. We acknowledge that Steven’s decision to use this word was deeply offensive and caused significant pain for many members of the astrological community.
We want to assure the FCEA community that the use of the N-word, in any context, is inconsistent with the values and standards of communication that define the FCEA. We are committed to a learning environment where every student is treated with dignity and respect, free from racism and racist language, prejudice and discrimination; where every student feels welcomed, valued, respected, and supported. These values are fundamental to who we are and remain at the heart of our mission.
We believe Steven should be held fully accountable for the impact of his words, tone, and the content of the podcast. We hope that a fuller acknowledgment and understanding of the pain caused, together with the conversations and reflection that follow, will create an opportunity for healing and reconciliation for the entire astrological community and for the human community at large.

Solstice blessings to all! Sun in Cancer, a sign ruled by the Moon, asks us to feel deeply our connections with family and those closest to us. But from an evolutionary perspective, we also question: in what ways do I need to heal and nurture myself in this lifetime? How can I put self-care top on my list?

Chiron, the “wounded healer,” enters Ta**us. This is a significant event because the asteroid will be in the sign of the bull until 2034. Collectively, we are asked to calm down, find peace and become more in tune with the natural world and with our roles as healers. Where might we have been wounded when it comes to our bodies, our security, or our values?

The FCEA’s annual window for scholarship applications is open June 15th to July 15th. The FCEA offers a limited number of full scholarships, providing a tuition waiver to a select group of students, chosen annually by our Scholarship Selection Committee. There are two types of scholarships: a needs-based award in response to a student’s financial hardship and a diversity scholarship intended to support students from historically marginalized and/or oppressed communities worldwide. Selection is made by August 1st.

🌑♊️ Turn inward and ask yourself: where do I need to heal and nurture myself through fresh perspectives and an open mind? Where do I benefit from cultivating curiosity and a playful spirit?

Astrology is a discipline where the literal and the metaphorical often merge. When we say a beloved teacher is a rockstar, we usually mean it figuratively. Today, in Steven’s case, it’s both.
Congratulations to .Forrest and Carrie Wright on the release of their new album, Ten Planets, Ten Songs.
On his blog today, Steven explores the composite placements in their charts, offering a window into the creative and relational astrology behind the music. Both the article and the lyrics are rich with insight for students of our work.
Enjoy—and have a listen wherever you stream! 🎧🪐✨
