Our fundraiser kicks off on Monday, August 17th and this year's theme is Apex SUPER Heroes. For two full weeks, students will unlock real-life superpowers: steadiness, integrity, courage, and more.

It’s time for Leona Cox Community School to start! We are excited to welcome you all back to campus this week. Here’s the PTA News you need to know:

Wednesday, 8/12: Meet & Greet. Preschool kids can meet their teachers at 4:00pm. TK/K students will be welcomed by their teachers in the MPR (the big building at the top of the stairs) at 4:30pm. From 5-6pm all students can explore the campus to find their new classroom so they know where to go on the first day. Make sure you look up their teacher on Aeries before the Meet & Greet as class lists will not be posted. Your PTA will be handing out popsicles for all students.

Thursday, 8/13: First Day of School! School starts at 7:40am. Be sure to take a picture with our Welcome Back sign on the front grass. Share it with the yearbook committee by posting it here. After dropping off your students, head upstairs to the MPR for coffee & donut holes provided by the PTA. Whether you are excited or sad that school is starting, we want to meet you!

Friday, 8/14: Welcome Back to School Picnic. Join us from 6pm to sundown at Canyon Country Park for an opportunity to see old friends and make new ones! Bring your own picnic dinner and blanket and any games to share. Kona Ice will be there selling snow cones to keep us cool.

Chuck E. Cheese was giving out high fives and fist bumps after school today! We hope you will join us at the Chuck E. Cheese on The Old Road from 12:30-8pm to celebrate the start of Summer Break! It’s been an amazing year at Leona Cox and now it’s time to relax!

Students were recognized at the final assembly of the year for hitting their AR Goals, participating in Student Council and Junior Coaches, and perfect attendance! Way to go Cougars!

We have an extremely limited amount of yearbooks for sale starting tomorrow, 6/9. Yearbooks are sold on a first come, first served basis. No yearbooks will be held for you to bring money later. They are $20 each and we accept cash (exact change please) or checks payable to Leona Cox PTA. Thank you!
