Please join us for a Zoom session on Wednesday, May 28th from 5:15-6:15 pm to learn about Post-Grad Service Year Options. We'll feature four SCU alums who participated in Jesuit Volunteer Corps, Teach for America, the Fulbright Teaching Assistantship program, and the Peace Corps, following their graduation from Santa Clara. It's not too early to begin thinking about these options!

The Clothesline Project features messages, painted on t-shirts, from those affected by sexual violence, be they survivors of violence themselves or the friends, family, or peers of survivors. We invite everyone to take part in this artistic exhibition honoring these voices, to be in community with others hoping to curate a survivor supportive community on campus, and to witness a powerful showcase of bravery, healing, and strength. The exhibit will be on April 29th, all day from 9:30am-4:30pm, in the Wellness Center at 852 Market St. The campus's confidential survivor advocate will be on site throughout the event accepting walk-ins for anyone who feels the need to process their experience with the exhibit in a safe space.

Now Accepting Applications for Summer 2025!

The Institute of Reading Development is now hiring summer teachers to lead our summer reading enrichment programs, designed to foster a love of reading while building critical reading skills in students of all ages.

Our approach combines evidence-based practices with engaging activities that make reading fun and meaningful for students. This framework simplifies your role as a teacher, so you can focus on what matters most—helping students thrive.

This is a great opportunity to do challenging and meaningful work in a supportive environment. Teaching experience is valuable but not necessary, and we do not require teaching certification. We provide comprehensive lesson plans and training so that you will be fully prepared before your first class. You’ll receive ongoing support from a dedicated supervisor.

We welcome your application, whether you are an upcoming or recent college grad, a graduate student, a current teacher, or looking to make a career switch into education.
