The North and South Go At It Again!

The Armies of the Potomac and of Northern Virginia will face off once again at Mahon Ranch. Camps will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, with battles at 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday (camps closed during battles). Church call at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Attention all reenactors, friends and or both. This year’s Blue Gray Ball is a go. Weather is good to go.

This is not only good manners but a must to attend. Hope you all come and enjoy dancing, music and or company.

Hello Everyone,

Another Reenactor put a person producing a documentary about Civil War Reenacting in touch with me. The referrer told this filmmaker that they should go to Tres Pinos because the site itself dates back to the Civil War era.

This project will take about 1 to 2 years to complete, and they are looking to follow several reenactors as part of the story.

It will be a documentary, not a "reality show".

I have a phone appointment set up with them for Tuesday night. We will discuss things in much greater detail.

They will be going to Tres Pinos and I am going to encourage them to come the weekend before when we parade a Cannon around town to promote the event.

BTW: I have a space to store the cannon one hour from Tres Pinos, at my place in San Jose. I live on 2/3 of an acre with a huge parking area behind the building away from the street. So any gun could be dropped off that weekend and then picked up on the way to Tres Pinos.

Please pass this information on to the members of your respective groups. They may want to take part.
