The Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) grants are awarded by the U.S Department of Education to help colleges serve first generation low-income students.

On April 5th, 2018 the Mission College, HSI-STEM Outreach Team took a group of high school students from Santa Clara High School on a STEM-related field trip to iFly. The students got the opportunity not only to learn about the science and engineering behind the wind tunnel but also experienced a simulated skydiving moment.
