VMAPA would like to congratulate Jim Verrett on his new position as Chief Executive Officer of Blue Devils Performing Arts! We wish Jim great success with BDPA, and look forward to our organizations continuing to work together and building off our long standing friendship.

BD Performing Arts is pleased to announce that Jim Verrett will be joining the organization as Chief Executive Officer in early May 2022!

Verrett, who resides in Vallejo, CA along with his wife and their wire-haired mixed terrier, has been a member of the BDPA Board of Directors since 2018 and brings over 30 years of experience in helping brands reach their full potential and leading teams to growth and success.

“What the BDPA team has accomplished these past few years is astounding—particularly considering the challenges presented by the global pandemic and uncertainty it brought to all aspects of life,” says Verrett. “I’m thrilled for the opportunity to build on the positive momentum present across the organization and can’t wait to begin working with this team in pursuit of reaching our full potential.”

Vanguard Music and Performing Arts announces change in A-Corps Director Position.

"Whenever a highly motivated and driven member of our team leaves, their loss is felt by many. Ivan De La Cruz has been a beacon of kindness, motivation, and empathy since he was named A-Corps Director of the Santa Clara Vanguard in 2019.

Ivan will remain a member of Vanguard staff and will assist in the onboarding of a new Director, but has made the decision to place his family first and step back from the A-Corps Director position."
