With humble beginnings in 2005, we now have more than 2000 children in our centers. Safari Kid is rapidly expanding due to the overwhelming demand for our programs. In the Reggio Emilia philosophy, a child has three teachers:

2️⃣ Us (their educators)
3️⃣ The Environment

When Loris Malaguzzi called the environment the "third teacher," he meant that a space shouldn't just be a place to hold toys. It should be an active participant in their learning.

At Safari Kid, we don't just decorate our classrooms—we intentionally design them. 🌍 We use natural light, accessible open shelving, and open-ended materials that quietly invite your child to explore, ask questions, and create. Ever wonder why preschool teachers love messy art so much? 🎨👀

It’s not just because the kids have a blast (though they definitely do!). It’s because messy art is a workout for growing brains. When we hand them a comb instead of a brush, they have to grip it tight and drag it hard through the thick paint.

That single motion does two massive things: it builds the exact wrist strength they need to hold a pencil, and it lets them watch blue and yellow magically squish into green right before their eyes.

They just think it’s a fun, gooey mess. We know it’s their first science and writing lesson. 🤫✨
