Laurelwood Elementary School

The fun continued at Laurelwood this week. Today, as part of Field Day, the San Francisco 49ers Flag program visited our 2nd-5th graders to remind us of the importance of prioritizing physical activity, good sportsmanship and teamwork all while teaching the fundamentals of football in a safe, inclusive environment. Thanks Coaches for a great day.

This afternoon, our very own, Mr. Gabe was awarded the Santa Clara Unified School District’s, CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR! Everyone at Laurelwood knows how amazing he is and now, the whole district knows. Please use this post to send him your congratulations messages.

Tonight was our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade, End of Year Music Concert. Each ensemble performed to a packed auditorium. Thank you to Mr. B and Ms. T for turning 50 mins a week of learning into a phenomenal showcase of talent.

Spring Break Spirit Week starts tomorrow. We hope everyone will join in on the fun!

Today’s Extra Tiger Paw recess brought some serious heat to the pitch for our highly anticipated Staff versus Student soccer game. The students dazzled the crowd by showing off their impressive ball skills and agility, while the staff relied on their veteran soccer IQ and strategic positioning to stay in the mix. It was a fantastic afternoon of competition were fun was the top priority and school spirit was at an all-time high.
