Sending some positive “encourage mint” vibes to all our wonderful teachers 👩🏼‍🏫👨🏽‍🏫as the kicks off! 🍏We all get those first day jitters whether you’re a student teacher experiencing it from the other side for the first time, an alumni with a new classroom to call your own, or a seasoned teacher who knows the importance of a great first impression. You got this. 🙌 Thank you for leading the charge in growing curious and passionate learners!

UC Santa Barbara Alum, Lianette Santana, recognized as Outstanding Teacher by Rotary Club of Santa Barbara. https://bit.ly/2Hla2aw

We enjoy learning of students who grow up in Santa Barbara and return to teach the roots that raised them. Not only did Santana receive her B.A. from UCSB and her Single Subject Teaching Credential from UCSB Teacher Education Program (TEP), but she went on to teach ESL students at her own alma mater of Santa Barbara High School (SBHS Dons - Santa Barbara High School Official FB Page), and clearly, thrived doing so.

TEP Elementary Supervisors and Candidates hosted an end-of-semester appreciation gala for their Mentor Teachers, In House Coordinators, School Administrators, and each other 🥳 It was a wonderful celebration full of tea, cheese, cookies, children, and post-rain fresh air. We extend a huge THANK YOU to the many groups (including our generous donors! 🙌) who help this program not only to exist, but to thrive, all for the benefit of the students we collectively serve 🎉👨‍🏫👩‍🏫 @ Tucker's Grove
