So proud of an MUS student who raised over $20,000 for JDRF ( https://buff.ly/2BCcCHy ) and coordinated the first JDRF fundraising walk in Santa Barbara since 2014. She shared her story and is an advocate for herself and others. At least 32 MUS Staff Members showed up at the walk to help raise $ and awareness!

Ms. Simon gave away some of our home-grown Nature Lab produce at Friday Flag today and did a tasting for students with fresh-picked cucamelons. Kids enjoy eating what they grow!

Today, our 6th graders celebrated their early human unit with Primitive Living Skills Day led by Wilderness Outdoor Leadership Foundation. It was a real bullseye!
Here, our laser cutter (thanks MUSF!) is cutting out 6th graders' "concentric art." They've been studying local artist Joshua Abarbanel, who takes sea coral as his main inspiration.

I'm feeling deeply grateful to MUS families! Just today, we had family members join us at Mustang Mileage Club, Diversity Club, and at Nature Lab for the Regenerative Landscaping Group. Thank you, MUS parents and family members...you make this school a special place for ALL our students!

The MUS Diversity Club put on the 1st Annual Culture Food Fair yesterday. The food was delicious, the students learned a lot about the diverse world in which we live, and the fellowship and fun was wonderful!

It's hard to believe that sixth graders made these works of art. Thank you for your teaching, Mrs. Gonzalez. Thank you for inspiring our students, Yago Partal! Click video for more, or see these works at the SB Fair and Expo. https://buff.ly/3n4TtZu
