UCSB Natural Reserve System administers 7 Reserve sites: Carpinteria Salt Marsh Reserve, Coal Oil Po

The NRS makes relatively undisturbed samples of California's natural ecosystems - and the facilities needed to support teaching and research - available not only to students, teachers, and researchers from the University of California, but also to any qualified user from any institution, public or private, throughout the world. The NRS is the largest university-operated system of natural reserves in the world.

Enjoy dinner, drinks, and dancing under the open sky in the heart of our sprawling 6,000-acre natural reserve!

A catered BBQ meal will be provided by Jill’s Place, along with local wine and beer, and square dancing with a live caller next to the newly refreshed Sedgwick Reserve Barn. There will also be an opportunity to explore the new historical exhibit in the refurbished tack room, and take a stroll to enjoy the natural wonders of the reserve.
