A visit to the Santa Barbara Botanical Garden offered a beautiful reminder.

Many students arrive believing they are “not good at math.” They see only limitations. My work helps them expand the radius of their lives—to see possibilities where they once saw barriers, confidence where they once felt doubt, and growth where they once felt stuck.

A New Chapter

I am delighted to announce the opening of my private mathematics tutoring practice – a mindful mathematics education center— in Santa Barbara.

Over the coming weeks, I will be transforming this beautiful space in the historic Victoria Building into a welcoming environment where students can grow in confidence, curiosity, and mathematical understanding.

After more than three decades in mathematics education, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve students and families throughout Santa Barbara and Montecito.

Santa Barbara, I’m home. 🌿✨

Twenty-two years ago, Charlottesville became home. Along the way, I have gained friendships and countless memories that have shaped my life in ways I could never have imagined.

As I prepare to head west to Santa Barbara on Monday, my heart is full of gratitude for every conversation, teatime, celebration, challenge, and friendship that made this chapter so meaningful.

This is not goodbye. Charlottesville will always be part of my story, and I look forward to returning often. Thank you for the love, support, and community that have enriched these past 22 years.

On to the next adventure—with gratitude, excitement, and a heart full of memories. ❤️
